Tommaso, thread: for those of you who follow metals, what do you know about the Midas Fund? It was selling at over $6 midsummer now it's below $2. Gold mines have lots of valuable stuff in them besides gold, and this seems like the most oversold of the gold funds.
I notice IBD is suggesting S. Africa as a good country to invest in right now. In the past its timing of foreign stock markets has been quite good.

RE: I have Republican friends who are actaully gleeful because they think there's going to be a crash and that it will all be blamed on the Democrats. Not only have they not got over Watergate, they still want revenge for what happened to Hoover!

Always routing for whats good for the country, aren't they.

Tommaso, with respect to turning things around I feel it is already too late and nothing can be done. The die has been cast. I must admit I share your republican friends feelings to some extent. Before I get attacked let me say clearly I do not want this to happen as many decent people will suffer.Wishing won't make it happen. I am simply saying we are in for trouble and I do not feel we can avoid it. Mike
