I agree with your analysis of Mr. Smiths' posts. Very well thought out and extremely informative. However, as a novice I have three questions:

1. From the tone of your posts it would seem that you have had prior experience with one or more of the "founders" of this board. Care to elaborate?

2. Insofar as you have "founded" several boards yourself, how can a novice determine the "intent" of ANY founder(s) on SI?

3. What is your (meaning all founders) purpose for spending so much time researching a stock and then "sharing" that information with the masses?

[ Market Maker/Smith Controversy ] Ga Bard,

You posted:

"Let me put it this way BE SKEPTICAL VERY SKEPTICAL"

For a skeptic, I find it unusual to see you become so enamored with Mr. Smith's comments. As you yourself mentioned, "the internet is fraught with tricksters," for we cannot verify the source from which SI dialogue originates from. In the same manner, we cannot verify Mr. Smith's background, yet you cling to his comments like a lover does to his partner(Post #83: "Christopher that has to be the very best POST I have ever read on SI or any thread I have visited").

I am not here to kill the messenger, but I recommend that you subscribe to your own suggestions.

On a different note, I do agree, however, that Mr. Smith has raised some very valid arguments, and that intellectual dialogue based on the points he has raised would be beneficial to all those involved. I do see some "ad hominem" (attacking the person's character), rather than a direct dialogue to address to the intellectual issues raised.

I believe there is currently a discussion taking place on SI already about MM involvement.

Mr Ga Bard:

You are new to the 56 threads and the type of information that is posted about the companies we research. Read the banner and do your research on the information posted please.

The intentions of the members of the thread who do the research are honest and well intentioned. You shouldn't call us "hypesters" without having done your own examination of our work.

Ga Bard: I have not noticed anyone really coming down on Mr. Smith other then a few good points made about him being a Market Maker this week and something else last week and the week before. Other then that, I can agree with much of what he said. Maybe not 100%, but who does agree with anyone 100%?

I notice that you two seem to work as a team, and that is making a few people wonder a bit.

Like i said, and have answered in other posts this morning, I can agree with many of his points. So, what is the problem?

If YOU or ANYONE else does not like the stock we have Picked as a Write Up, to be posted this afternoon, don't buy it. It's THAT Easy!
Always do your own research before investing your hard earned money is always good advice!!

So, What stocks do you like? From a short term view as well as a Long term view?

Thanks
