Barry, each must use his or her own indicators to judge a company and its environment for investment purposes. I happen to use both fundamental and technical indicators. While some may view the latter as irrelevant, I dont. In light of the lack of a TA based response to my points on this thread, I posed the question of gaps significantly below current levels for many of the tech stocks to someone who is respected on the TA threads of SI and received the following response:

Again, I'm hoping that this scenario does not play out, but to protect myself I am reducing some of my tech holdings, maintaining my consumer holdings and increasing my position in Berkshire Hathaway (which I believe offers the same upside as Intel but with less risk).

Please explain what is ment by the term "gap" as some of you are using it.
