Pretty sure that's why they teach the virtues of a "modern mixed economy" in economics classes these days. We have learned from experience, and have respect and reverence for the motive force and creativity and/or creative destruction of raw Capitalism... as well as knowledge of the basic needs for rule of law, honest government institutions, education and other necessary features of a mixed economy, and the place for natural and regulated monopolies, and the virtues of anti-trust in that mixed economy. With fine tuning the whole works MUCH better at creating wealth and happiness in society.
