Believe me, I probably grew up poorer than most on this thread. Worked the fields for the farmers when I was 13 from sun up to sun down for a $1.75 and hour. We were the migrant workers, and probably the only reason we got off school in the summer was to work the fields. Never took a dime from the Govt., learned a fantastic work ethic that has led to massive transfers to the Treasury. Pulled myself up from, well, what we considered "middle class" at the time, now considered extreme poverty by today's standards. Let's encourage people to SAVE money, it is literally the only way to transition from poverty to wealth. But, until you can come up with a taxing regime to pay for these programs, then you just pounding the desk. You attempt to "over tax" the wealthy.. .They leave.. That is just the way it is. You can complain about it, but that won't change it.
