Aldo sounds like a gas, and I'm sure he'd make a hit at my own store. Like yours in SF it features some dented cans and things with torn or stained labels. And stuff taht's about to venture past its "best eaten by..." date. And, for some reason, restaurant-sized confections of all sorts of things. Ten pound tins of peas, for instance. At the moment, large buckets of mayonnaise. People actually buy it, though waht you'd do with ten pounds of canned peas beats me.

They also have a great deal of chocolate, some of it quite good. And everything's awfully cheap.

We have a canned food warehouse with tubs o' stuff too. MJ calls it "Banned Food Warehouse". Aldo be my kinda guy.

It would be nice to have nerve.

I did wear a skirt over my construction togs out to dinner once, right over the boots and jeans; a beautiful woman who knew I liked Bali lent it because it looked like Bali to me; and when we sat down to eat the Seattle earthquake happened. It was definitely alarming; especially in a cinder block building; especially with an education of what happens to those bldgs in quakes. An Asian waitress was trying to get my attention, and she ran up and asked me why I was wearing a skirt. Like maybe it was the last thing she wanted to know. I'd forgotten I was wearing the skirt, and was sort of hoping she wanted me to save her.
Shoot.
