Where we fall down is on K-12. So our kids out of high school must compete with the rest of the world for our college slots. One whole hell of a lot of those slots get filled by foreigners, many who then go back to their homeland. I'm sure not so arrogant to think I know how our public K-12 schools are doing - but in comparison testing we don't look good. I'm absolutely positive that many of our K-12 schools are doing great - BUT, many aren't. When that is the case the averages get dragged down.
