People make bad choices and god knows we have many more choices than 40 years ago that can screw up our lives. I just told Koan so much is related to breakdown of the family and substance abuse. Keeping up with the Jones's and borrow your way to that life sooner ingrained into our heads through clever marketing. Force feeding yet another housing bubble cause of gridlock in DC and the Fed the only game in town to save the day is not good. I am not aligned with either party at this point and really can't say I ever called myself a staunch supporter of one side though the one period it seemed to work well was the Clinton years. Was quite angry with the policies of your side after they accomplished their objective of total control post 9/11 and made massive blunders saw the house of cards economy for what it was now see this one for what it is. Though this cycle is quite different with the top 10% or so controlling more of the pie and the high percentage of equity by skin in the game makes this very different from 2005-07. Housing is always the biggest concern but this time that tens of millions will be priced out forever and cost of living continue to skyrocket for the middle class and working poor as ZIRP continues on for years to come while the imbalances widen further and those bottom 100M+ get more desperate. All we will need is even more casinos, big screen TV's, techno gadgets and extend to 10 year new car auto loans to keep them happy? I doubt they catch the next Apple type stock at the bottom with their meager savings to save the day as most don't even have a bank account..
