It wasn't 52% of the POPULATION that voted for Obama... It was 52% of the people that went out and voted. In my state I could have voted 100,000 times and it wouldn't have mattered. I'm not saying that government bonuses are a big factor in our deficits, but they are a big factor in the efficiency of our government. What about those VA bonuses we've heard so much about? When were they given out and WHY? How many government workers out of that 3 million are FIRED every year? Do you have any numbers on that? You may not believe this, but when I was graduating from college I talked to a government recruiter. The first thing he says was, "You don't want a job like this, you'll be a GS(something or other) and you can do a lot better than that." I told the guy I wanted to go to law school and I had a lot of debt. I thought I could work for the government and go to law school at night. He kinda blew me off..... I know that's all anecdotal but it gave me a perception of the government I wasn't crazy about. My perception of the government has NOT changed since then.
