I know that's all anecdotal but it gave me a perception of the government I wasn't crazy about. My perception of the government has NOT changed since then. My perception of federal workers is that they work fairly hard..........maybe not as hard as some in the private sector but they do put in a full day's work. I know my postwoman works her ass off climbing pretty steep hills to deliver the mail. They also tend to be more honest and more concerned with job security. In the private sector my bosses were always watching to see if workers were snorting coke in the restrooms, or walking off with a computer. I think Rs have so maligned gov't workers that they can no longer get a fair shake. That's what I think.............and I have direct experience.
