Jay, I have to agree with your post to the utmost. I cant believe we have had about 100 posts just today about whining and self defense. The whole conversation between Ben & Ga Bard this Sunday morning should of been in email. It sounded like two 3rd graders on a playground.. sorry but thats the truth in my opinion. Ben, this is to you personally.. I like your posts many of the times and they can be quite funny (in a good way) but I couldnt believe you need validation of your post by others on the thread. We saw your post yesterday, we read it.. why do you need 20 people to say "Good post!" ?? Do you need everyones pat on the back to make you feel better? Its not just on this board but 2 or 3 others Ive seen the same thing. And no Im not personally attacking you, so dont send me 10 posts back yelling. I just feel some of the things you say should be in email.. i.e. the 20 posts this morning that I had to sort through trying to make sense of. Or here is an idea, when your personally chatting with 1 person on a public forum start the post with "OFF TOPIC",, that way we dont have to read it. Last, I realize you are sincere in your postings, I dont doubt it. I just would prefer to read more about stock ideas and strategies, not about Julius Ceaser. Some people get really defensive on this board and all 56 boards, and of course there is a tendency to favor those you have met in real life at the seminars, but it does tend to get "cliquey". Personally, when I ask questions it gets answered by people who arent in the inner circle and that is fine with me (other than Dave H & James Strauss, who always answer), as long as someone knowledgeable answers. I dont know if Christopher is some made up name or not, but when I read his post I did learn something and instead of appreciating that people got on his case. Why? I never saw him attack anyone, yet people here took it as a personal attack. His post sounded a bit snotty probably to some, but I didnt really see a direct attack. And I think if he does work on Wall Street he must have some advantage. Why block him out like everyone was so quick to do? Anyways, hopefully this is just growing pains and I hope we can get back to normalcy and keep our posts to both individual stock ideas and trading methods. I just came on to try to find the POW to research it myself and instead Ive spent almost an hour reading all this crapola. And Im a fast reader! Sorry if this is harsh but... P.S. Id like to commend Sergio.. in every post Ive read of his he seems to be one of the clearheaded and even keeled fellows here. he doesnt take every criticism of stock picking methods as a personal attack.
