I would take issue with the claim that Benen actually researches anything; generally, his posts are repetitions with minor rewrites of liberal perspectives on news articles of the day. His arguments may be presented well for those who aren't too thoughtful about both sides of issues, I couldn't say. But I find him to among the most run-of-the-mill bloggers, almost like someone picked off the street with no meaningful knowledge of the subject matter. More of an Ed Schultz styled attack dog. Which is fine, but it doesn't lead to any real understanding of the issues, imo.
