I have land in North Dakota and in a town that supports maybe 36 square miles of productive farm land fills 100 railroad cars every week. No way are these trains going to be able to handle the agriculture production and the oil. There is no pipeline for wheat, barley, oats, soybeans, eatable beans, sugar syrup, corn, etc. <smile>

Hi Kirk...well we agree on something..........................................

I doubt anyone in elected government actually puts what is good for the nation first.

There have been studies done on this topic by politcal scientists. Their conclusion was that "money talks" and that all all other considerations go to the rear of the bus. A politicians first consideration in all things is to get re-elected.

There has been considerable commentary on this thread about companies having to pay taxes on repatriated earnings. Citigroup would have to pay ten billions of dollars to bring all off shore cash back to the US. And thread viewers here upset about the matter.

But today Citigroup agrees to pay $7 billions in fines for fraud. Where is the outrage against the executives who are surrendering so much stockholder money to avoid some well earned prison time?

Has any Citigroup executive faced criminal charges? Have any executives been replaced? Have any golden parachutes been deflated?
