<Mel had blamed it all on Obama (like he always does) , directly. I didn't see him putting any blame on Bush!< OK.. So it's the "It's not my fault, "I jumped off the bridge, because HE jumped off the bridge" routine. Typically "educated people" don't wallow in the cesspool of mud. Don't want to take sides here, as there is plenty of blame to go around. But, the mass migration did not begin until about 8 months ago. A period after which the current administration issued a directive called. " Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals". DACA The Deferred Action states among other conditions that people are eligible that "Came to the United States before reaching your 16th birthday;" Now there are several other requirements that would exclude recent arrivals being eligible for DACA, like 5 years of residency, etc. But, the fact that tens of thousands of under age children have arrived on our shores, ("Rio Grande River"), since the adoption of this Memorandum ,, and only a fraction have been returned so far. The poor, uneducated in Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras are not versed in the technicalities of US Law. But, they understand the term "Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals". They know what they see.. They leave, and they don't come back, and the people in these countries hear the stories back in Central America of how those that left are provided "safe passage" by the US to relatives in the States. That spells an open invitation. Consider it like the lotto. We all know the rules.. You have to pick your numbers before the drawing to participate in the "Jackpot'. What if you got a phone call from your neighbors that told you that they picked their numbers AFTER the numbers were drawn, and were awarded a portion of the Jackpot. You turn on your TV and there is a commercial by the Lottery Commission telling people that the rumors are not true, stay home, You, can't pick the numbers after the drawing.. But, still you keep getting phones calls and here stories from ten or fifteen neighbors telling you that they did it.. How long before you would be down at the local establishment entering the numbers from last nights Lottery. Heck, you might even jump on a freight train to get to the lottery store. Kind of like the raid on the Wal-Mart stores when the EBT card limits were temporarily disabled. People knew that their cards were empty, but they kept getting phone calls about the masses lining up with 5 Grocery Carts and walking out with all the goods. Not long before they hurried down and loaded up some carts for themselves.

<In fact starting with Nixon the right wing presidents have been pushing executive authority way passed historical standards. Bush did it even when he held both houses of congress. And when the pubs controlled congress Bush did not veto one bill. The pub congress and Bush had a deal. Each would do what they wanted and neither would get in the other's way. And so Bush pushed his imperial presidency so far as to allowing torture and war mongering. Bush was a disgusting president that dragged the country through the mud for 8 years, destroyed our military, bankrupt us and left a total mess for Obama to clean up. That is the reality of the bush presidency.. < Whoooa there! Not interested in wallowing in the "mud" here. Like I said before.. I voted for Gore, and Kerry. I respect your opinion! PCSTEL
