Peg, you posted:

"This is not the place to impart your wisdom. There are threads
available for that purpose I mean this in the kindest possible way, but please leave now."

When Doug posts his TA on a stock, is that not imparting wisdom? When Jim Strauss provides an FA overview, is that not imparting wisdom? Is some wisdom to be more valuable than others? The founders of this thread--not me--determined IN THE THREAD'S CHARTER that marketmaking activity was to be a major component that would determine buy/sell decisions for this thread...to such an extent that a single person (Ken) was given sole responsibility for monitoring MM activity and interpreting it for others. Does it not trouble you that, as evidenced by his post on the CAFE thread recently, Ken seemingly is not well-versed in the differences between auction and dealer markets, and the role and activity of marketmakers? Would you rather base important financial decisions on informed discussion, or do you feel threatened by newcomers to the thread who may have something to contribute? Do you want to be serious about this and do it the right way and make money, or do you want to stick with what's easy, familiar and mediocre?

It is not a waste of time. People that read these threads understand and evaulate the posters. Only those that have more to gain than others see post as worthless. I am amzed that some can make an opposing post and the regs who have met and established a plan are the ones upset. There are a lot of folks that enjoy the controvesies and pros and cons to a system or POW type senario.

Peg,
Very well said too! (Same with RADAR, and Sergio's posts...) I think the SWAT team is really showing its maturity in dealing with a lot of heat from people I don't know anything about, except that they aren't 56ers...

I think we are just going to have to wait for all the naysayers to move onto the next hot topic of the week. then we can finally do what we set out to do in peace in quiet. maybe it's a good thing certain people are disappointed with our first pick; then they'll leave us alone!
Like you said Peg, some picks will go down, no matter how much work and effort we put into it. If we had a method of coming up with sure things, we wouldn't be here.
keep up the good work peg. i'm glad I'm on the team with you.
