Wildman,

Wrong, wrong and wrong. Advertising pays! who has the vested
interest in building product name and recognition, the retailer
who provides shelf space for multiple products or the company
producing the products. Location on the shelf is left up to the
retailer and is filled by their stores based on sales. There is
the rub, THQ has no product recognition because
it used multiple sources each with their own logo on the box.
Sure they have hot titles but no name recognition yet.

The competition is advertising. I have been seeing commercials on TV for other game products. EIDOS to name one. You just simply can't rely on a gamers network to sell products. Brand recognition is important and advertising makes brands recognized. I'm not here trashing the company, they have done a great job in getting the products to market. Farrell is magnificent in his stewardship of the company. However, even good things become better with constructive suggestions and honest criticism. That's why there is a market for the Ernst & Youngs and Arthur Andersons to provide improvements to
stay abreast, ontop, and increase market share.

We have all agreed that brand recognition is a problem. Even the company is moving toward logo consolidation. I stand on my earlier comments. As shareholders we have an obligation to point out things
that need attention. Afterall, if things were perfect we wouldn't
have this thread.
