Most of whom are from the Nokia acquisition. Which has been circling the drain for a while. Microsoft itself has had its woes and things aren't getting better. Their attempt to take over the entire Windows software market failed. Win 8 has failed. Win 8 mobile has failed. XBone is in the process of failing. Everyone seems to prefer other companies cloud services to Microsoft's own. The acquisition of Nokia was an attempt to salvage Win 8 phone, but... And IBM and Apple have teamed up to take on enterprise. Microsoft is on the verge of becoming a much smaller company. This layoff is just the start.
