Hi Robert..... There are different reason why GM and GE paid no Federal Income Taxes.

GM had huge tax losses that could be carried forward to avoid future taxes. But it is all legal and proper.

GE has got one of the biggest and the best group of tax accountants to find deductions that other companies overlook. Its been said that this small army of tax accountants more that pays its own freight.

What are your bets for tomorrow?

My guess is that GE's outlook will beat everything estimated. And this will drive GE and the market upward.

Nice gains in MSFT today on a big down day for the market. Microsoft will cut up to 18,000 jobs out of a total of just over 127,000 employees. Most of the cuts will be from the devices division which acquired 30,000 new employees when Microsoft purchased Nokia last year.

Anyone know the corporate tax rate in Finland?
