Who knows what you are assuming about iPhone 6 costs but, whatever you seem to be assuming, I expect Apple will prove your assumptions to be flawed. Even more, I expect record iPhone sales in the 2nd half of the year.
He's assuming that, for example, a large sapphire screen might raise input costs substantially. And that other input costs could rise as well. Of course Apple could raise the price of the iPhone by, say $100 and hope to offset some of that, but what happens if on-contract prices are forced to rise to $349 while competing high-end phones go for $249 or $199? The difference to consumers becomes huge.
