"Economics is a science because we use the scientific method to study it." So goes the leading paragraph in my Economics 201 book. I didn't believe a word of it then in 1957, and I don't now. And for the very reasons you mentioned. However, there are some points that my control system background help with. It is not an easy analogy. The market is not completely controllable because of the size and energy that it represents. That is the reason the specialists are often wrong. But even with a control system which sometimes goes unstable, there are times when the behavior can be controlled and/or predicted.

You, so far, have made a marvelous call on JBIL. The bounce off the lows, I mean, not that you bought it at the right time. My June 35s are doing well, up $1.65 since Friday. Where can I send your commission.
