Just skimming the headlines about a stock can short circuit your evaluation conclusions.

When it comes to a new business model or plans for expansion.......company stock charts are all but useless.

Take that article about GTAT and their Hyperion Machine. The first models are being tested now. and the first deliveries are expected in 2015. By 2018 they are expected to sell between 200 and 250 machines. ( about ten per state could be sold)...to be used for brain, neck and throat cancer patients, The cost of the machines will be between 5 and 15 million each. Average cost of 10 million each with margins over 50%.

A lot of where a company is headed can be determined from a company's web site. But this is a time consuming endeavor.

The author of the previously posted article has a price target for GTAT of $87.00 (about 2018).Annual earning of $5.25 a share.

Current price is $14.23...... So if you are looking a five bagger,,,this is it.

So that's the problem with headline skimming.......a good healthy shovel will bring better results.

It would not surprise me to see GE buy the company to get at the Hyperion Machine to be a complement to their other medical machines (MRI's etc).

Any opinions by other thread viewers on this Company?????
