Nice response, Bob, but there is one statement I think you should examine:

<< <3. Increasing possibility of future push-outs of stepper orders in Asia due to inability to get financing.> >>

<<There will most likely be some pushouts from Korean manufacturers because of the financing concerns. ...>>

This is bullish. There will almost certainly be some pushouts from Korean fabs. The question is, will the Asian currency and default problems spread, or are they at a point of reversal and rebuilding. I'd hate to bet the ranch either way.

I will say, however, that the news from Indonesia this morning is extremely grim and includes the possibility of political upheaval. Indonesia has always had sensitivity to Marxist politics. This is the one possibility that could REALLY send Asia into the tank. Also, the news from Japan continues to be bad. (Maybe the Japan problems will impact only Komatsu in the DUV area, and help Cymer by killing off the competition!)

Hi Robert, CYMER looks so cheap, I am tempted to catch the
falling knife. While I have no doubt CYMER can sell lasers
in 1998, I am concerned that Cymer is obsolete in 1999.
Intel plans to produce the Merced using .18 micron
technology. Can CYMER's laser reach .18 micron?
