Perry made the mistake of threatening to veto funding unless she stepped down. Then he did veto the funding and offered to restore it if she stepped down.

This is bribery of a public official.


No, I read the article from the liberal idiot who claimed it and ginned up this witch hunt.

What he did was to say, "You have been convicted of a serious crime. If you won't leave voluntarily, I will veto the funding that allows you to stay. If you do leave voluntarily, I will sign off on the funding."

Where was your bitching when Obama threatened to veto legislation that would require administration officials to defend their actions in court if they refused to uphold laws? That seems far more outrageous to me.
