Like any poll, the sampling methodology and questions asked can lead one to make false assumptions. Tea Party advocates for smaller government, socialism is all about centralized control and larger government. I have run into quite a few folks who like socialism but they aren't tea party material. Genreally they don't like to work and want someone to take care of them.
