Uh, he was a U.S. Senator who had published a bestseller and had been the keynote speaker at the Democratic National Convention three years earlier, and everybody had known for years that he was going to run for President.

And your entire thesis was that he used the story that he'd been born in Kenya to get ahead and then pulled it before he ran for office. If no one knew about it, how would it have gotten him ahead?

Yes, and I have said it several times, having had voting rights, being somewhat naive I'd voted for him back then.

But giving him my vote for a 2nd term?
Only those blinded by ideology could ever make such a stupid decision.
