No one did say that he was eager to shoot a black teen... but I do say that a white cop (or even a black one) is much more likely to reach for his weapon in a black neighborhood, where both the cops and the white community have established an adversarial, "it's vs. Them attitude against the black community over decades. Which is the case in Ferguson. And frankly, most of the country. We don't raise our weapons against "us," we raise them against "them." -Z

4 shots hit him in the arm and wouldn't have stopped him unless the officer had had a serious caliber handgun. The last two were the fatal rounds. The last one probably hitting him as he fell. Being in a violent encounter isn't a game and police don't have much time to deal with a situation that just arises suddenly. I doubt the encounter and the six shots took more than a few seconds.

that unarmed kid would have killed you in what ? under a minute ? first shot to your face, knocking you out, breaking your nose and jaw, once on the ground a field goal type kick to your head smashing you skull against the concrete curb, broken skull and major brain damage, another kick to your head once again smashing it against the curb and ted is dead. so much for your an unarmed person can't kill you. how hard do you think a 6'4" 280 guy could kick you in the head ? his first kick would probably sever your spine where it attaches to your skull
