The truth is that it's a "stty tiny tiny tiny little country". Recall that the Gaza strip is about 6 miles wide. Here are some DMZ figures for countries that are "little" as opposed to tiny tiny tiny little: Korean DMZ: 2.5 miles wide Vietnamese DMZ: 6.2 miles wide I can guess that Israel is too small to cut the DMZ out of their own territory, LOL. So there just isn't enough room for a reasonable DMZ. Re: "Just bombing for another month and then going home will not work either - something new must be tried.* "; The basic fact is that as far as becoming a pleasant place to live, Israel is beaten. My guess is that if she did try a DMZ it would be a combination of too narrow to matter, would be pointless in that it is one-sided (i.e. the Palestinians would just use it as a battle ground), and would expose them to economic warfare from the propaganda war. I really don't see a solution for them. -- Carl
