I don't know where "down here" is, but I'll put Mendocino Co, esp the coast, up against any county in the state. I'm not sure koan has a gun. I do, but I'm an overcrowded lifeboat lib, not a bleeding heart one. During the logging wars up here in the 90's, I had a girl, classmate of my son, maybe 6th grade at the time, sock me in the belly cuz I had worked in a lumber yard the summer of '63. She did that after I had been arrested for protecting redwoods. :>)
