I would add to the above ability to go through personal marks post by post. For example if I press on somebody's profile and see a list of his/her posting I would like to go to a post and then click next/previous and see the person's next/previous post from the list (not a next/previous post from the tfread where it was). Am I clear what I want?

Don/Mohan, Thanks for the suggestions. I'm hoping to work on all this over the holidays. I have most of the functionality ready to go for these suggestions, but I ran into some serious scalability problems with some of the more complex queries after I indexed the 3 million messages in our database. I've gained an appreciation for the technology behind Altavista! If we had only a few hundred thousand messages, performance wouldn't be a problem because everything could be kept in memory. I think I can fix it with some bigger RAIDs (and more space-hogging-but-high-performance indexing). Brad
