A while back RATL bought out PASW for a stock swap, and over time, the exact same thing happened to their stock prices.

hey anyone notice that with BORL at 9 3/16 and VSGN at 7 1/2 that the ratio of VSGN/BORL is .816 thus removing that discount?

Somehow, I don't find that to be either shocking or unexpected <g>

RE: VSGN/BORL Ratio - Disappearing Premium?

Paul,

Actually it looks like that might have just been temporary (or perhaps based on the last price instead of the bid or ask?).

Right now, we have about a 6% premium:

Bid: BORL 9 5/32, VSGN 6 5/8. Ratio 0.72355. Premium 11.75%.
Ask: BORL 9 1/4, VSGN 7 1/8. Ratio 0.77027. Premium 6.05%.

That bid on VSGN looks like the MM brought it down just before the close to limit his exposure. It should go back up tomorrow. The asks look reasonable.

Going from my memory (not a safe thing to do), the premium on OPEN started to disappear in the final month and didn't completely disappear until the final week. During the final week, the spread widened on OPEN to the extent that it wasn't worthwhile to either buy or sell it.
