Demand For USD As Concerns Grow About Ukraine Situation -- Market Talk
31-Aug-2014
2128 GMT [Dow Jones] Demand remains strong for the USD as concerns grow about the situation in Ukraine and rhetoric from Russia, says ASB Bank Head of Institutional Sales Tim Kelleher. The EUR/USD is at 1.3129 vs. 1.3140 late Friday in New York. He says the euro is really struggling on fundamentals at the moment and people are moving out of the common currency. Kelleher puts support for the pair at 1.3100 with resistance coming in at 1.3150. (lucy.craymer@wsj.com;Twitter: @lucy_craymer)

This whole mess is a direct result of US and German/EU fantasies. The first signal was Georgia and quickly forgotten. What is waiting in the wings now is another Chechnya but of massive proportions.

Nations heritage and world view.do not change within a generation ME and Pakistan India conflicts are the proof.

IMHO no matter the cost Russia must be stopped even at a high price, at least the price will be final.

Not doing so the risks are enormous and unknown and bring about the destruction of Europe and the sinking of the US.

We are dealing with irrational narcissistic psychopaths driven by an unrealistic imaginary fear where pride and obedience is worth more than one person life.

ISIS should offer a vivid example. Russian tanks already leveled a small town in the last 48 hours destroying every house within the small city

The sooner Russia will be stopped, the better before it gets worse. If blocking the straits of Hormuz justified a war then present situation has the same severity.

The Dombas in Ukraine is a test point as was Crimea and Georgia, next will be the Caspian Basin and Eastern Mediterranean NG deposits that is the game plan IMHO, this also explains the fanatic support of Syrian rulers - total control of European energy resources.

I really cannot understand neither Merkel or Obama and their advisers, they are fantasizing and people are slaughtered.

On this tread I warned many times of what is coming but have never imagined the extreme carelessness of the weaklings elected to rule powerful economies.I am certain they failed in history lessons which history is shaping a nation heritage and world view.

Without massive Russian losses which will trigger a revolt inside Russia nothing will stop the mad men.

MAD now is not an option IMHO it is worthless the world has changed and so the venues of war

The writer totally ignored Russia's nuclear capabilities. If you look at his images on Google, he appears to be fairly young. I wonder whether people born in the last 40 years have a proper terror of The Bomb.
