The middle east isn't fixable, Dave. We've had presidents trying to fix it since the Brits gave up on the task, and no has succeeded. Bush just made it worse. Obama's trying to get us to follow the Brit example, and more power to him. He's not going to start bedwetting or trying to make hay out of a beheading of a journalist or anyone else.

You seem to be aligned with ISIL, and WANT him to overreact, as they do!

He knew what the situation was, and "his" solution is what brought us to this point

Bullshit. This is like blaming FDR for Pearl Harbor.

Like with the economic Bellyflop of 2008, it was a work in progress for decades. But it was Bush's policies that made it sooner than later. By the time Obama took office, it was going to happen and soon.

Barack Obama didn't run for office saying, "It is a mess, and I'll make it worse."

He didn't make it worse. That was already in progress. It is what happens when you upset the balance of power. Now he might have headed this off at least a little if he had a laser like focus on the ME and prioritized it over everything else. But he had an imminent global economic collapse on his hands. I guess he thought that was more important...
