Mary,

Kurlak always surprises me, and recently he has been ahead of the pack. It didn't used to be that way.

all: Analyst recommendations in CNN-fn

James Armstrong of Henry Armstrong Associates recommends to buy only good businesses and hold long term like 5 years. He said Wall street analysts are out there to make money on commissions and he advised to ignore those quarter by quarter recommendations which is just noise in the long run. His advice is to listen to the company management and its competitors warnings from time to time to check if there are any changes in the company fundamentals. It is the Company that grows its business and earnings and not the Wall Street. Wall Street is there only to provide a vehicle for trading. I liked what I heard.

The following are examples of some of the great businesses:
INTC, KO, G, Wringly, and CSCO

There is another report from ------- Capital Management (I could not get the full name) has a similar message for long term holding a minimum of 3 years. His recommendations are:

Echolab, MSFT, HD, Northrn Telecom, LLY, INTC, and Linear Technology.

We need some reinforcement of this type for some of us long term holders of INTC at this time when we are being bombarded with lot of negativism both by analysts and some of the postings on this thread.
Thank You
rgds
