Annie, the watch bands are so cool people will buy more than one IMHO. Mostly women but men will buy more than one too. One for sports and one for formal wear.

This one is particularly cool.

Surprisingly he higher end gold plated watches have a pretty limited selection of bands. Don't like those very much. They should have this one in matching gold plate.

Gold or Rose Gold for you?

I do not see the watch as being huge though. Not even as big as the iPad.

20 to 25% of iPhone users max. At least short term. Some Androdians switching to get the elegance and status of the watch/phone combo. Over time, as I've stated health care will become more important.

Not many people are talking about this but it will get more important over time as apps are developed by big medicine.

back of the case, a ceramic cover with sapphire lenses1 protects a specially designed sensor that uses infrared and visible-light LEDs and photodiodes

Your gender is showing. Most of the other gender and some of your own actually like picking stuff to go with other stuff. I know it's a mind boggling concept :-)

Could be, never been in the watch business. But I was involved in putting a test program into 100 Home Depot stores for decorative bath products. It made total sense. But consumers had to buy two boxes, not one easy box. Sales at those stores declined more than 50%. We were so excited, then total fail. The lesson sticks with me.

Hopefully this will be simple. But I'm not sure how you make 3 watches, in two different sizes (each?), with 6 different bands (each?) simple. How many options is that?!? It's very, very un-Apple. As well as inefficient, sku wise. I've got a feeling Steve is rolling in his grave.

Here's the middle fashion solution, appeal able to both men and women and those in between:

Have the watch come with a boring black that will appeal to one type;
You can buy the accessory (or trade it out) for the other type
And since I don't have any experience with those in between I have no idea what to say about that.
