John, you know science usually starts with bits and pieces of information which people use to guess what might be the unknown stuff. Knowing a little is better than knowing nothing. The discovery of bacteria and sanitation e.g.

What complicates the liberal conservative dichotomy is that we know as people gain education they become more liberal, so "learned awareness" seems to play a role. On the other hand, even though it seems generally true, there are many instances where it seems to make little difference.

If there is a genetic difference between left and right it is certainly masked by a complexity of nature and nurture woven together somehow.

I saw an interesting documentary the other day on the Bonobo, our closest relative DNA wise. The bonobo lives on one side of the Congo river and the regular chimp on the other.

The bonobo is a completely matriarchal primate. Only one there is I think. They have little violence and solve much of their disputes with sex? They have been separated from the regular chimps by the river and have no other completion for a million years e.g. gorillas or other primates.

The regular chimps can be quite violent.
