I have to admit I'm fed up with experts. Everyone goes on TV saying to buy when CPQ's at 65, and now they're downgrading when it's in the mid-fifties? Gimme a break. They sold there's at 65, and now they're going to buy back up again.

Just sit tight.

Jorge: Here is a sensible advice from a sensible guy.
It seems to me that the trick is to summarily dismiss this
nincompooph analysts who upgrades and dowgrades stocks every other day.
(source:Anant Intel thread)

<James Armstrong of Henry Armstrong Associates recommends to buy only good businesses and hold long term like 5 years. He said Wall street analysts are out there to make money on commissions and he advised to ignore those quarter by quarter recommendations which is just noise in the long run. His advice is to listen to the company management and its competitors warnings from time to time to check if there are any changes in the company fundamentals. It is the Company that grows its business and earnings and not the Wall Street. Wall Street is there only to provide a vehicle for trading.>

PS: I posted the news about Packard Bell's claim that they are NO.1 in home PC sales. If you want you can go back and look for it under the caption 'OUCH'. The thing is here is a privately owned company claiming they are no.1, which is rather suspect in itself. I will wait for data from a more reliable and independant source such as Dataquest or IDC or someone like that.
