As far as I am concerned, "gaming" is sad and pathetic and those who make a living at it are little removed from others who sell addictions be it crack dealers or bar tenders. People can do what they want but I wish we taxed THESE activities enough to recover the cost to society. It really bothers me we charge maybe $5 a pack for smokes when smoking kills people early and saves us in the long run on Social Security, etc... but the booze peddlers don't have to cover the cost of alcohol on society. I'd love to see a tax per drink to cover highway patrol of DUI patrols, the extra we all pay for for insurance against drunks running into us, local police domestic violence calls, etc...
I like the Lotto... it is truly a tax on the stupid that anyone can avoid.
Anyway, you won't see me cry for lost gambling jobs like I do for lost jobs to actually build something useful from a small transistor chip to a Dreamliner jet.
