Anyone who's been trading for a significant period of time has probably come across a situation like GTAT today. Took a hard slap to the wrist this morning. In hindsight, my view of the potential application from the technology clouded my judgment, as the fundamentals were saying much more than I was willing to accept. Win some. Lose some but when a situation like this happens, it's time to take a good look at one's internal process. Being critical is important and the failure to recognize trends (both positive and negative) can be damaging to one's portfolio. fwiw.....
