The Greeks also sacrificed pigs too, something that started an entire war, what matter what animals is the point. Obviously US Christians have no problem with pork, bacon is a big deal in texas, one could draw the conclusion that the Greeks won in the end? The entire Jerusalem economy then was centered around those sacrifices like no other group that we could name, for centuries.
