Actually, the massive H&S Top told you some time ago there was something massive to worry about.
Bottom line as I alway say is ONE BAD EVENT kicks the crap out of ANY TA.
My TA said a cautious place to look to buy shares would be about 3ish.... My reading of the H&S top was a min target of about $5...

It would be interesting to see how many insiders, Apple execs, etc. were dumping just below $14 so it never rallied up to test the neckline from below.

The bankruptcy filing was what the TA was trying to tell investors (and potential investors who remained on the sidelines watching despite many here and on TV recommending the stock....)

Finitas.....

IF one is going to buy a stock for the LONG SIDE they are best reading you for YOU DO THE WORK... PERIOD!
That does not apply in this case.... There are 10 analysts that cover GTAT....Raymond James had a sell on the stock and said that he was "blindsided" by the chapter 11 filing.

There is absolutely no research on GTAT that would have indicated a financial problem between Apple and GTAT.
Apple loaned GTAT 570 million dollars to outfit a facility for making sapphire.

Apple did not make the last payment to GTAT of 137 million that was due last month.

The loan had a lot of provisions that favored Apple.... GTAT missed some objective marks set in the contract. Apple called the loan.

No amount of research of your part or any ones part would have turned up a red flag.
