The Gigamux was hooked up with just 1 channel operating at 2.5 gigabits per second. They came back 10 days later and found that all the information was sent error free over a 25 mile stretch!!!

I think a far more impressive test would be with all 16 channels operating, sending and receiving data. The entire idea is that this is a multiplexer, and while I am pretty ignorant about the technology, I would think there would be a much greater opportunity for errors during multiple-channel operation, from "cross-channel" signals.
