Well she is drawing a Government salary and expect that she should be doing her job.

You do know that even after Thomas Duncan was admitted to Texas Presbyterian that the hospital staff used no special clothing other than their standard scrubs while handling Mr. Duncan. Only after receiving a positive confirmation that Mr. Duncan had Ebola did they start wearing the proper protective suits.

You can try to blame the hospital, but perhaps the instructions from the CDC office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response were lacking.

It is unclear if the hospital even had any of the proper hazmat suits that you see when Emery Univ handles Ebola cases. You can't wear what you don't have.

Presbyterian workers wore no hazmat suits for two days while treating Ebola patient

Duncan was suspected of having Ebola when he was admitted to a hospital isolation unit Sept. 28, and he developed projectile vomiting and explosive diarrhea later that day, according to medical records his family turned over to The Associated Press.

But workers at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas did not abandon their gowns and scrubs for hazmat suits until tests came back positive for Ebola about 2 p.m. on Sept. 30, according to details of the records released by AP.

Here you go, this is the guidance that the CDC was giving out to the hospitals prior to this incident:

GUIDANCE FOR U.S. HOSPITALS ON EBOLA VIRUS
AUGUST 6, 2014

The risk of an Ebola virus epidemic in the United States seems very small. Meanwhile, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention urges hospitals to do the following:
“Place patients suspected of having the virus in a single-patient room and keep the door closed

“Provide gloves, gowns, shoe covers, eye protection and a facemask for all healthcare workers interacting with the patient

“Avoid aerosol-generating procedures, and if they must be done, perform them in an airborne isolation room.

“Clean and disinfect potentially contaminated materials with hospital-grade quaternary ammonium or phenolic products.”

Isn't Rick Perry more widely known than this God knows who? I am sure McCain will agree with us on that.

I just got a call from some financial management firms and they wanted to manage my stock portfolio to "fulfill my investment objectives." These guys have access to my portfolio (not disclosing their name since they are not due for free publicity). During these volatile times, these folks are adding to the panic by making such calls. They could not assure me that they would give me better returns on my portfolio than what I did managing my own.

No that was not mindmeld calling me to propose that he would give me financial management services.
