Funny, the news just showed a picture of a mama bear and her cub wandering around a home in Pasadena, CA.... Not enough wind for good windsurfing in So. Cal and I prefer tech types to Hollywood people, but there are great places to live near the coast in So. Ca too. One advantage of San Diego is you can drive to San Carlos in Baja Mexico for some really, really great wave surfing in the morning and windsurfing in the afternoons when the wind comes up. Pretty rugged as you have to carry in all your gear or pay Solo Sports to fly you in and take care of everything.
