Dear SmoothSail,

Are you viewing SI over SSL?

You may need to set your browser to allow mixed content if so. Many browsers don't allow SSL and non-SSL mixed by default unless the user explicitly approves it. The YouTube videos are not presently requested over SSL.

We need to update the SI code to rewrite YouTube URLs for displayed videos under https: instead of http: when being viewed over an SSL connection. You might try allowing mixed content in the interim.

If this is a problem for you, I can get a fix in for this quickly.

Regards,

@Dima

Come to think of it, here's a clue maybe Dmitri can resolve for you ...

I upgraded to Mac OS 10.10 Yosemite a few days ago, and since then when clicking Youtubes I get a brief error message saying my browser can't handle the new HTML5 format or whatever ... which then disappears quickly and before I can read it, as my browser (the new Safari 8.0) proceeds to load them easily after all.
