Are you viewing SI over SSL?
I have no idea.

You may need to set your browser to allow mixed content

I have no idea how to do that.

I can get a fix in for this quickly.

Yes, please.

I use Chrome. I don't have any problem viewing YouTube videos anywhere but SI.

Don't know what you did, but it's working now. Thanks.

Well, I spoke too soon.

It is definitely the difference between http and https. How or where do I reset it or change the setting?

Until recently, I could use standard Mac OS formatting shortcuts in the editor, Command-B for bold, Command-I for italic and so on.

Now however, Command-B does nothing, while Command-I sends the whole reply to my email program.

Not the end of the world, but if it can be easily fixed I'd appreciate it.

I believe one of the flash ads at SI served up a piece of malware. I clicked the Next link on a board and it took me to this site which looked shady to me... flashplayerupgrades.com Or is that a legit site?

So I was reading through another board and hit the Keep button, then was taken to javaupdatesnow.com I did a couple of scans of my computer MSEE and AVG, but did not get any hits. Is this from ads or do I have something on my system? Do you have any recommendations on anti-malware software?

Would there be a Silicon Investor if the owner was prosecuted for theft due to so many reposting full articles where they don't own the copyright?

I wrote more about it here: Message 29788442

Maybe a good feature to add to the site is a TOS type link to report theft of IP from other sites so this can be dealt with differently than pissing contests that are the usual reason the TOS button is pushed.

I'd hate to see SI close because some large company decided to put an end to the reposting of their work here.
