<<If you don't like their products - DON'T BUY THEM!!! Stop telling me what I want as a consumer and let me decide - not you, not the goverment.>>

You like Microsoft telling you what you what and what you need?
If Microsoft is allowed to use the OS to monopolize the browser market, eventually Netscape will be no more. What kind of choice will we have then. Use an old browser that doesn't support any new developments or pay Microsoft $50 for the latest upgrade.

The real question is whether the browser is part of the operating system. The court decided it was not. The operating system is what software uses to interface with the computer. The browser is a program that interfaces the operating system with the internet.

>>MS has the right to do anything they want. If they want to sell you a product that
links diretly to their homepage, THEY CAN!. It's called capitalism - look into it.

If you don't like their products - DON'T BUY THEM!!! Stop telling me what I
want as a consumer and let me decide - not you, not the goverment.

Sure they have the right. But I think it is against US law to contract tie. Ie, tell manufacturers, you can't get our OS unless you bundle our exp. This is leveraging monopoly. It's capitalism maybe, but anti-competitive.. If every company is allowed to do this we'll end up with communism with a twist: it's not the government that controls, but the one ar two big companies. your choices become just limited as much.

Maybe we don't see this now, but I see it if companies like MS are allowed to be such predatory.

Sorry but the government will have to decide, it is not the law of the jungle. I've decided already.
