Maybe you need to move away from Texas.

All of that pollution that is spewing out of all of those refineries is affecting your thinking.

Way, way too much CO and benzene, not to mention thousands of other nasty molecules being dumped into your environment down there.

At least we have some the cleanest air in the lower 48 up here in Western Washington.

Well, I started out pre-med, to save lives and help people, but I didn't make it into med school. Then I decided that grad school in (respiratory) physiology would get me into med school, but found out I could save more lives and help more people by being a respiratory therapist, which was a fairly new field at the time.
I set out to save lives and help people, and I did that. Along the way, I taught respiratory physiology to community college students, something I wouldn't have done as a doc, so I'm OK with what I've done, even if you aren't.

Well I grew up on an island and since my folks had waterfront property on Puget Sound it was only natural to learn boating (sailing) from a very young age.

Wanted to learn to fly in high school but taking a ferry to the mainland for lessons was just too expensive so I didn't learn to fly until I was a senior in college. I had a good paying part time campus job and finally achieved my dream.

Didn't become a FAA Certified Flight instructor until the mid 80's, just too busy with my job, but I still instruct to this day.

If you invest wisely you can achieve a lot.

I thank my parents for teaching that to me while I was growing up.

Save and invest for the future.
