I am not sure how that might work. Also, don't forget I am in Canada so the tax treatment I think might be somewhat different. Your best bet is to talk to an accountant or hit the library. As for 7 something, it is not a bad price because of the way the stock moves. If there is some positive news, it might give you 20-30% gain if you trade. If you buy and hold, then it is a bit unclear in that the earnigs and revenue have to grow for it to move up on a more permanent basis.

I don't follow ADBE and have not looked at it. I am kind of trying to pickup cos. like BRKS, SFAM that have broken down quite a bit. You might want to check them out. Excellent balance sheets but in a sector that is causing a lot of worries due to Asia, which will eventually recover.

I'm sure you would lose the tax loss at least till you sold Macr again.
