"you're not a hermit"
No; I go to town for groceries and mail several times a week.

"there are some uh, buyers or sellers that show up from time to time"

No need. The Grange president is a realtor, and he's put out the word that the ranchthat is on the market for $24M is across the highway from me, so, no problem.

Not even Jehovah's Witnesses. On a good day, they put their stuff on the fence at the gate. On a bad day, they close my gate and stick it thru the chain.

"Don't forget, I showed you you could buy a biodiesel truck too"
How can I forget? It's only been a few hours since the last time you told me that.
No more ICEs for me.

"If you can afford to buy a property and remodel it for resale, you could have afforded to DO IT RIGHT "
I could only afford to buy it. After that, I couldn't afford to do anything except stare at the back of the exterior walls from the middle of a big cement slab. Then, your government and mine loaned me just enuf money (against my house... an appraiser came out, but that was in '10 or '11), so that I could put in wiring, insulation, plumbing, A/C, a handicapped parking place complete with signs, energy efficient lighting, sheet rock, and all that stuff. I wish your government was as generous with your money as you are with mine, but they looked at my house, and said "That's all there is, there ain't no more", but they did it for less interest than the private sector was gonna charge me for less money, so I said "Thank you kindly, Aunt Fannie and Uncle Sam".
