Rick,

Good job! Can you put in more detail about the response you got?

Frank

<<Got a call back from Kim>>

I too received the same call back except she stated that the company has not provided guidance to any analyst recently. She also stated that the Volpe Brown analyst is relatively new (only been on the job for a couple of months) and was working from someone else's numbers. She denied that he had been in contact with the company.

"Well, we are all here, just watching stock go down"! - ATMEL IR?

Interesting comment, while obviously true that the employees of ATML are watching the stock go down, at any given moment some are sitting, some standing, some walking, and most working to add company value.

What seems to be "in the air" is the ATML coin toss of earnings. If this is a good quarter (fantastic in this market) the stock goes up,
if a bad quarter (hey everyone has them) the stock goes down (maybe).

This will be a break for those wanting the stock seriously on sale.
That is always the time to buy good companies....on bad news.
